I don’t have any idea how this song only ended up in an article now because I’ve loved it for many months. I may need to do some research and listen to more of her music because I would not like the song nearly as much without her additions to it. The female featured on this track has a really unique voice that intrigues me with it’s sweetness, too. It’s also one of those songs I can’t help but sing along to (and dance-when no one’s watching). This is such a fun song that leaves me feeling good every time it comes on. If you love groovy alternative songs, you’ll fall in love with Monoculture. I love the groove and how it blends so perfectly with the live instrumentals throughout. Monoculture may just be the coolest band on earth! Not only is their music awesome, but they actually let us use this song as the intro/outro music for our new podcast “Talking Nonsense’. You know me, I’m a sap for the love songs. It’s a nice song to use to wind down after work and the lyrics are very endearing and sweet. I enjoy the soft female vocals and laid back beat. Out of all the songs I discovered this month, this is my favorite. Another thing I really like about it is the subtle grooviness without it being overpowering. I liked Blood Orange before, but I LOVE how his voice works with Tei Shi’s to create this gentle, wispy sound quality. Blood Orange)” by Tei Shiīlood Orange’s feature is actually what made me fall so in love with this song. The sound is definitely darker and more melancholy, but somehow the vibes stay good. It’s not as upbeat or bright as the other alternative songs I’ve featured, while it does still have the live band elements to it. This is another great alternative song I found last month. It’s nothing special, lyrically, I’ll admit, but it’s catchy and easy to listen to so I keep finding myself coming back to it. Overall this is a very chill, laid back song with good vibes. It’s not overly clean and perfect like most new releases and I like that. The song also has this early 2000s boy band (in a good way), quality to it that brings up nostalgia. I had never heard of Gallant before I came across this song, but I find his voice to be very soothing and smooth to listen to. You knew there would be some R&B/soul on this list eventually and I did not disappoint. What more can I say? It’s got all the best elements of the alternative genre of music. If you like alternative music, this is probably a song you’ll enjoy quite a bit! It’s got a psychedelic, far away sound to it, while at the same time having the grounding sensations of a real, live band. There’s something very unique about this song-it’s almost like a completely new genre that the artists created themselves. If that sounds like an interesting combination of musical styles, that’s because it is. This is a very techno, upbeat dance song with rock undertones. Nevertheless, I still found some great new songs that I hope you’ll love and enjoy as much as I did and do. I feel like this month I didn’t listen to nearly as much music as usual because things were hectic. "That motivational aspect of the book really resonates with me the most." Everyone has people that don't believe in them - or the world basically tells them that it's not possible. It motivates me because, you know, everyone has haters. It looks at the hardships that they went through, the resentment that they've experienced and the people who tried to sabotage or deny them from reaching their true potential. "The book demystifies that, through the stories that it tells of people from the past. Everyone has people that don't believe in them - or the world basically just tells them that it's not possible. "For some people, we see that as the state of being a genius - Leonardo da Vinci or Einstein for example - people who in the past have shown great, tremendous aptitude and ability to be able to do certain things. "Mastery is talking about the process of any creative endeavour on the road to mastery. Nozra spoke with The Next Chapterabout what he loves about the book. The book he's currently reading is Mastery by Robert Greene, a self-help book that explores the lives of historical figures and examines what led to their success.
